Although I am sure that Christmas is lovely in every place in the world, I cannot imagine being away from home at Christmas time.
But I do think that as long as you are surrounded by the people that you love whether it is friends or family or both, it will be a good Christmas.
Christmas In New York
I actually have on my bucket list to spend at least one Christmas in New York. In the mid of this year, I was lucky enough to be able to go to New York for work purposes and I absolutely loved it. The city moves quicker than London and although that may be stressful at times, I actually really like it. The energy is amazing and I can only imagine how joyous it would be at Christmas time. From the world's most famous tree at Rockefeller Center and carriage rides through Centreal Park to carollers on the sidewalk and afternoon ice skating in Central Park, I believe that Christmas in the Big Apple would be no less than extraordinarily magical.
Christmas In Iceland
It is supposed to be one that you will never forget! In Iceland, Christmas is celebrated on the 24th of December which is a little different than the rest of the world. Still, do expect a quintessential white Christmas. There are fairy lights everywhere on the streets an you might even get a glimpse of the glowing, liquid-green aurora borealis or Northern lights.
Christmas In Puerto Rico
In San Juan, you will get to experience a never ending Christmas part. Celebrations start from November and continues until the 8th of January. There a parties, parades and open-invitation cook outs.
Christmas In Scotland
There is always something to do when in Scotland during this festive season. The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh erupts with festive cheer and the Princess Street Gardens ice rink is abuzz with activities leading up to the big day. In Glasgow, the Gallery of Modern Art is bookended by twin Christmas trees and a veil of star like lights stretched between adjacent buildings.
Christmas In England
Besides London, there are plenty of other towns and cities throughout the country that have so much to offer for the Christmas season. Lake District is one of my personal favourites. With snow-dusted mountains and crisp cold air outside, glowing log fires and the magic sparkle of Christmas lights inside, it is truly a magical Christmas. Other than that, there are so many other countrysides to visit that has their own unique features that will surely make you Christmas holiday a really memorable one.
i also thought it would be quite fun to learn how to say Merry Christmas in different languages, just in case you're planning to go to a country that does not speak your language...
