Walk A Mile In Her New York Shoes - NYFW Ready To Wear

Hi everybody!

New York Fashion Week concluded with a serious bang! And some serious fashion statements. No need for long introductions here, lets get right to it. It was 8 days of continuous 2015 spring/summer trends worn by top models in the industry strutting up and down the runways in the city that never sleeps, witnessed by everyone from the most junior of fashion enthusiasts to some of the most influential names in the fashion industry. With everyone at the edge of their seats, waiting anxiously to see the what spring/summer trends designers has brought out for SS15, we can now share the ready to wear pieces.

OSCAR DE LA RENTA
The collection was fairly sweet and youthful for the man behind the magic to be 82 years of age. Well, it is said that with age come grace and that was portrait in the SS15 collection filled with buoyant skirts, cropped A-line tops, and laid back floral patterns. Oscar closed the show with lovely ball gowns which was the best way to conclude such an excellent collection. 10/10.

DONNA KARAN
Model after model came out in different ethnic prints which originated from unique African designs. It was the collection for the confident woman with bold colours and bright, eye catching pieces. The collections commands attention with geometric patterns, artistic feel and extreme vibrancy.

VICTORIA BECKHAM
The pieces that were picked for the Victoria Beckham show caught the  audience's eye with the neutral colour scheme to begin but a pop of bright, fresh pink floral made an appearance with the final few pieces. The outfits were tailored to perfection, which you can tell, is very Posh Spice. Personally, I love the length of the dresses and skirts as it had so much class behind it; very parisian chic.

CALVIN KLIEN
It was refined elegance at the CK show as models came out in beautiful rich navy along with clean ivory. There was nothing to dislike in his collection from the A-line cuts to the tunics and dresses. The whole collection screamed Calvin Klien with such simplicity and class. I was sold from the very first look that came on the runway; truly fashion excellence.

ERIN FETHERSON
It was runway to red carpet ready in the Erin Fetherson show as you could literally steal the clothes just as they came off the runway and you will definitely be Oscar ready. The mix of plain to patterned was done beautifully and nothing was too overpowering from the small floral detailing to the sheer horizontal lines. This collection is so wearable even for the everyday woman.

REBECCA MINKOFF
Its very refreshing to watch Rebecca Minkoff's collection for SS15 as she influences us on wearable tech. This collection is not structured, very easy fashion. It is laid back style looks and the colour scheme along with the fabric weight is very light and lovely.

DEREK LAM
This collection is very working woman chic. From a unique spring/summer colour palette which is simple and clean to the seventies style fashion looks, this collection is incredibly memorable. The high waisted trousers which flares out at the bottom makes a real statement in everyone's mind whether it be on the runway at NYFW or on the streets.

HERVE LEDGER
So much sexy fun went on at this show. The cut outs and body fitting pieces were borderline controversial but nobody is going to complain whilst watching the 5'10" models work that runway. With fun prints and ethnic designs that accentuates the waist line, it makes the ordinary day to day girl, one of a kind.

RAG & BONE
The models walked out in urbanised street style fashion which was expected from R&B but the rich designs and the colour scheme caught everyone's attention. It was all sporty wear for SS15 and the parka is my one must have from this collection, MUST HAVE.

ALICE + OLIVIA
This collection combined the working woman with the casual chic girl. It is fun and energetic with a statement but still keeping it nice and clean.

CAROLINA HERRERA
It was a punch in the face (good punch, the kind of punch you want to have) with edgy and youthful pieces. The bold statement pieces came out one after another with bright prints that filled the air with energy of spring/summer.

MICHAEL KORS
The sporty fun meets the girly girl in MK's SS15 collection. Michael brought out a more fanciful and pretty side through this collection. The corsage details and tied shirts makes such a statement that stays in everyone's minds. The girly dresses, sequins and nice bright palette all resulted in a major plus; so much love for MK.

RACHEL ZOE
The one and only, my fashion inspiration, my queen, RZ! One look at the collection and you can already imagine Rachel wearing everything in her own collection. There is nothing too, too fitting and everything is very easy and wearable. The parisian chic girl is the ultimate face to go with the pieces from this collection.

That is only a fraction of the amazing fashion at this year's Fashion Week.
MARC JACOBS showed a range of army greens
RALPH LAUREN was all about the safari prints
PROENZA SCHOULER showed metallics and leather with tonnes of layering
DIESEL BLACK GOLD had so much festival fashion mixed into the collection
RODARTE showed confident and bold statement fashion
VERA WANG showcased intimidation through fashion
J CREW came out with feminine men's workwear
TORY BURCH had a line up of extremely polished fashion

It is truly the best time to be in the big apple and sadly, I was not there this time around as myself, and the rest of my team are busy getting ready for a whole new game of our own, London Fashion Week.

Next stop, LONDON TOWN!
